About Bob
Bob resides in Greenburgh, NY. He has been writing poetry since 1991. Bob, who has cerebral palsy, and a great sense of humor, “dictated” his poems by pointing to symbols on his communication board with his right thumb. In 1999. he obtained a Dynavox, Speech Generating device that allows him to write and communicate. He has laboriously mastered file creation, save, retrieve, etc. With a head pointer Bob can now create his own writings. His independence level in creating written works has increased tremendously despite the difficulty involved in controlling his body. In 2002 he established his business “Handmade Poetry”. As a “motivational speaker, Bob is available to speak with groups about how to work with people who have a disability.
